The Alpine District Pinewood Derby will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Issaquah LDS building - 1100 6th Ave SE, Issaquah, WA. Entry fee is $10 for each car entered to race and will be collected during the registration/inspection process.  One car only per racer. Cash or check only.

All cars must be registered and inspected prior to the race.  Registration and car inspection will only be held BEFORE the race from 8:30 am - 9:30 am.  Be sure to arrive in time to get through the check in process.  The race begins at 10:00 am SHARP!

All Alpine District packs may participate and send in an unlimited number or scouts.

Come visit with a the Alpine District Advancement Committee and other guests to receive information about the path to Eagle Scout. We'll have a 45 - 60 minute presentation that covers the steps and then open the time up for questions and discussion regarding the process. The goal is to provide you with information that will help expedite preparing for your Eagle Project, processing your Eagle Application and scheduling your Eagle Board of Review.

We request that you have at least your Life rank advancement requirements completed (meaning you've had your Scoutmaster conference) if you are attending.

Additionally, Unit Committee Chairs and especially Advancement Committee chairs are invited to join us. If you’d like to help with the presentation please contact the Gary Yukish at the email address below directly.

2015 Cubs in Shining Armor.  Journey to Medieval Times! Grab your Squire's outfit and double clasp your shoes, because we're going back to the Age of Knights! Join us for a jam packed week filled with games, crafts, range sports, cooking and more as we take a trip back in time to when Shining Armor ruled the day! Cub Scout Day Camp brings to life an educational, inspirational and fun program for Tigers, Cub Scouts, and Webelos. Certified volunteer camp directors supervise a staff of dedicated volunteers. The camp program is carefully designed by a committee of experienced camp leaders and guided by parent's suggestions. Getting involved is the best way to be part of the FUN, so let's get ready for the trip of a lifetime!

Webelos Woods!  A fun, achievement filled weekend.  A chance to meet local Troops and Scouts.  An opportunity to get Webelos, Arrow of Light and Outdoorsman signoffs.  Camp with your son in a Scout Camp.  Share in a campfire program.

Who: Webleos I and II Cub Scouts.
Cost: Webelos Scouts $35 Adults: $5

About Alpine District

The Chief Seattle Council is divided into 12 districts with leadership provided by the District Executive, District Chairman, and the District Commissioner. Except for the District Executive, the committee is staffed by volunteers.

The Alpine District serving the greater communities of Fall City, Issaquah, North Bend, Sammamish, Snoqualmie, portions of Newcastle, and the Renton Highlands since 1996. The Alpine District serves approximately 33 Cub Scout Packs, 24 Boy Scout Troops, 11 Venturing Crews, 10 Varsity Teams and 1 Sea Scouts Ship.

Annual events within Alpine District include:
  • Camporee
  • Klondike Derby
  • Cub Scout Day Camp
  • Friends of Scouting
  • Unit/District Recognition Dinner
  • District Pinewood Derby
  • Scouting for Food
  • Scouting Field Day
  • Cubapalooza (Cub Scout Family Camping event)
  • Webelos Woods (Weblos Den & Boy Scout Troop camping & learning event)
  • Various Training Events throughout the year

District Meetings: The Alpine District Committee meets at the Sportsman Club in Issaquah on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 pm. All are welcome. The voting members of the Alpine District consist of volunteer representatives from each chartered organization having at least one BSA unit, plus annually elected members-at-large who in turn elect the District Chair.
