Cub Scout day camp involves the efforts of pack and district volunteers to create an educational, inspirational and fun experience for Tiger Cubs, Cub Scouts, and Webelos. A Scout professional and volunteer camp director supervise a staff of dedicated district volunteers. Directors are certified by the National Camping School of the Boy Scouts of America. The camp program is carefully designed by a committee of experienced camp leaders guided by parents’ suggestions.
CAMP TIMES: Each camp sets its own hours of operation. Check with the camp director. Please allow extra time on the first day for check-in.
FEES: Tiger Day at Camp (1 day) Varies by Camp By May 30, 2012: Tigers, Cub, & Webelos $75 After May 30, 2012: Tigers, Cub, & Webelos $100 Adult Den Guides (Walkers) and Staff, No Charge Den Chiefs (Boy Scouts), No Charge Camperships for up to 50% of fees are available for those in need.
REFUNDS: A 50% refund of fees paid may be issued in the case of accident, illness, or extreme extenuating circumstances, if requested in writing at least 15 days prior to the event. No refunds will be made two weeks prior to the event. Refunds will not be made at camp.
T-SHIRT: All youth participants and adult volunteer staff receive a t-shirt to wear to day camp.
SUPERVISION & MEDICAL: The Boy Scouts of America requires a minimum of two adults on all trips and outings (two deep leadership). All participants, youth and adults, must complete the Registration and Health History form. Submit these forms along with your pack's fee payment.
PROGRAM SUPPORT: Packs MUST provide adult staff members to assist with day camp. Please consult your day camp director for specific adult staffing requirements.
ORIENTATION: Each session will offer day camp orientation and training to all adults participating as den guides (walkers) and staff. It is essential that every participating adult in your pack attend one of these orientation sessions.
MID-DAY RELEASE: Everyone will be checked into camp each morning. If a youth must leave camp before closing, a parent must sign a form at camp headquarters. If anyone other than a parent or carpool driver is to pick up a boy at the close of camp, the camp director must have a release form. |
