Renton River Days PDF Print E-mail

Cub Scouts!

Renton River Days is again holding their annual Parade on Saturday, July 28th.  The Green River District is thinking of competing in the "Float category".  If you are interested in participating please email Alex Hamamoto alex.hamamoto@sf.frb.org) by May 28th.

The "floats" would be "red flyer type wagons" made up to look like "Pinewood Derby cars" or "Space Derby vehicles".  Older Cubs would pull the younger Cubs in the vehicles!

Scouting for Food Totals PDF Print E-mail

The Scouts of Green River District did themselves proud once again this year. Together, we collected almost 4 tons of food for the Kent Food Bank. The staff says that will last them until June. If you saw the inside, with all of the food packed in the aisles and to the ceiling, you would think it would last longer. That illustrates the need for food. Our food drive is timed to fall perfectly between Christmas and the Postal Services's food drive in late Spring and we help keep them open.

Great job Scouts!

The tally by unit is below.

Scouting for Food News - Please Note PDF Print E-mail

Quite a few of you picked up your flyers last Thursday.
I now have less than 2 boxes left.

If you have not picked up any flyers yet… I NEED TO KNOW HOW MANY YOU NEED IN CASE WE NEED TO ORDER MORE!
If you don't then someone will show up and there will be no more flyers.
For those of you who did pick up flyers, let me know if you want to turn any back in if you got too many.
As you know I measure the stack to get an approximation of how many to give you, then I gave you a little more.

I still have not heard from several units.
If you are in the same Troop/Pack/Crew and want to do the same as last year, please reply so to this email and let me know!

If you want to make a change from last year, let me know!
If someone else from your unit is doing it this year, let me know who they are, their phone number and email address.

If you will be helping at the food bank (like Troop 480) please let me know and what time you will be there.

Thank you for all your service!
