We all want our unit advancement records to be correct and to match the council records.  This tutorial on "Internet Advancement" puts the control in your hands and avoids duplication of effort.   You are closest to your unit's activities and know what the real data should be.  If you can't read the original data... (Is it Thomas or Tomas?  Was that merit badge earned on 1/11/2011 or 11/1/2011?)  ...you know who to contact, you might even be used to reading that chicken scratch!  If you don't use internet advancement, some other volunteer scouter will come in and do their best to enter your data, but there is so much more they could be doing with their time.  So take control of the accuracy and timeliness of your unit's advancement by entering the data directly into Internet Advancement or by uploading data from your unit software.  If you are stuck or need help getting started, please come to roundtable and ask, drop a line to one of the district committee members or contact WebMaster@NLBSA.org
