Merit Badges PDF Print E-mail

In the Boy Scout program, one of the requirements for later rank advancement is to earn merit badges.  There are over a hundred merit badges each covering a subject that represents a potential vocation, hobby or a life skill.  The scout works with an adult who has some experience, training and/or education in that field.  The scout first expresses his interest in working on a merit badge by approaching his scout leader.  The scout leader then helps him find a suitable counselor.  That counselor must be registered with the Council.

North Lakes District maintains a list of currently registered merit badge counselors as a reference for unit leaders in the District.  The list is provided via the link below as a Microsoft Excel document.  Download it to your machine, when you open the file it will require a password.  You may email the District Merit Badge Counselor Coordinator to get the password.  Please indicate your unit number and to help in verification please also mention the name of your unit's current leader.

Several other software packages are capable of opening this format.   Also, if you have a Windows machine but do not have Excel on your computer, you may download a free viewer from Microsoft.   You may also be able to upload the document to Skydrive.com and open it in your browser.
