Monthly RoundtableHow can you do your Scouting job more easily and more effectively? What events are coming up that will interest your Scouts? What training opportunities are coming that will make your work easier? How are your friends in other units doing? Roundtables are monthly meetings to give out information, ideas, and whatever. They are also great visiting times. They start at 7:30 PM on the second Thursday of every month except July. (Boy Scout Roundtable usually does not meet in August either.) They are at the Rose Hill LDS building, 7720 126th Ave NE, Kirkland (click for a Mapquest map). All leaders meet in the common room for group announcements at 7:30pm, then they groups break out into their own leader-specific roundtable sessions.
For contact information on the Roundtable Commissioners for the above programs, go to the bottom of the District Org Chart here.
New Leader EssentialsWe offer New Leader Essentials training during Roundtables almost every month. It starts at 7:15 PM, which is before Roundtables start. Information on New Leader Essentials is on the Training Page. We do NOT have New Leader Essentials at the December and June roundtables, and we don't have it in July since there are no roundtables.
Order of the ArrowThe Talapus Tilicum Chapter of the Order of the Arrow meets during Roundtables every month. The Order of the Arrow is Scouting's national camping honor society. It is "the brotherhood of cheerful service." For more information, check with the Order of the Arrow Chapter Advisor listed on the District Org Chart here. The Chapter Chief is a youth, so we can't post his contact information on the web site.
