As we set the example, we should expect nothing less of ourselves. Training affords us the best opportunity to be the best we can be. On-line Fast Start TrainingThis will help you understand Scouting and how your unit should work. This course, along with several other great courses, can be taken online at the BSA Online Learning Center web site. If you don't have one already, you will be asked to create a user name and password to log into the course management system.

Different amounts of training are required for different levels of the program. You are considered trained for your position, and can wear the "trained" patch, when you have completed all of the training segments appropriate for your program and position. Wood Badge Training in small group leadership, Wood Badge for the 21st Century, was designed to be available to every leader (Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity, Venturing) within two years of becoming a leader. The only requirement is that the leader be trained for his or her registered position.
Powder Horn is the premier high adventure resource management course. This site gives information about the course in general. Information on Chief Seattle courses will be posted on the training calendar when we get it. Information on the 2008 course in Mt.
