This is the big one! Yes, it's time once again for all Aquila Scouts and Scouters to converge on Joint Base Lewis-McChord for the closest thing to the National Jamboree! Held once every 4 years, WashJam 2016 will be the biggest Scouting event in the Pacific Northwest, attracting over 5,000 Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Varsity, Explorers, and Girl Scouts from Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana and British Columbia, Canada, and as far away as Utah and Texas.
This colossal event will be a massive regional encampment with Scouts from over 10 different Councils, themed activity areas featuring over 100 different Boy Scout and Venturing activities, a huge Cub Scout activities area with a Western theme, plus a vendor midway, merit badge midway, two big arena shows, geocaching, zombie night hike and more.
Check back for the 2020 event date.
