The purpose of Wood Badge is to build stronger units. It does this by immersing leaders in a six-day experience of team building and small-group leadership skills. It is an advanced, intense, and, yes, fun training for adults 18 and older.
So, what is the secret? Send at least one of your adult leaders and two of your youth leaders every year. The knowledge each individual brings back to the unit is invaluable, but the combined knowledge is worth even more.
Before you send in missing training, please check your official training record in my.Scouting.org. Please try to do all of your updates at once, and only send missing training.
Once you have checked your records, please complete the Training Record Updates form, save it, and email it as an attachment to firstname.lastname@example.org. Some non-BSA training simply cannot be entered into your record, but we will do our best.
If you have trouble with the Adobe form, email email@example.com, and we will figure something out.
You can find the latest syllabus for most of your training on the national website at Scouting.org/training/adult/. You will have to do a little scrolling to find the one you want, but it will be the most current version.
Council has approved a one-day version of BALOO. It uses the current syllabus (October 2018). Here are some useful links.
